VAC – 20294 – Project Engineer – Design

This is your chance to work in an enviable environment, within the fascinating world of automotive testing. The purpose of the role is to design of mechanical components for use in air systems on commercial vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of the product from conception through to manufacture.
  • Create 3D models along with associated and detailed 2D drawings to enable manufacture.
  • Utilise calculations and design aids as appropriate to meet design specifications.
  • Meet cost and timing targets to enable a commercially viable product.
  • Communicate with external suppliers, the appropriate internal departments and personnel to optimize manufacturability, cost and performance requirements.
  • Produce specifications for components to include material, finish, etc.
  • Project manage internal project or design aspects of an external resource.

VAC – 20295 – Project Engineer – Development

Are you looking for a truly unique place of work, for a global Automotive brand at their purpose-built headquarters in the UK?
This is your chance to work in an enviable environment, within the fascinating world of automotive testing. The purpose of the role is to perform testing and report on new air systems products for commercial vehicles prior to their introduction to the market place.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake all aspects of development and testing for your work to ensure production introduction is successfully achieved in accordance with the relevant product design specifications.
  • Plan and implement test programs leading towards product development and Engineering Sign Off. Co-ordinate and liaise with engineering to oversee all development, quality and customer return activities in terms of component / system testing and prototype manufacture.
  • The ability to conduct benchmark testing of products for current and future innovations would be beneficial, you will be analyzing test results in order to determine engineering solutions and if necessary utilizing mathematic modelling.
  • Able to compile detailed engineering reports through compilation of test data utilizing sound presentation skills to formulate good engineering solutions.
  • Control and maintenance of development records for traceability as document custodian.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the design and construction of component / system test rigs / equipment to fulfil legislative / customer requirements.
  • When required, act as a technical liaison with other departments.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of calibration on all rigs to ensure they conform to quality procedures and ISO legislation.

An exciting Sales opportunity to work for a leading automotive car parts supplier who are recognised as a market leader in the UK.

This organisation is experiencing exciting growth across its Branch Network and as a result a new opportunity for an experienced field sales executive to join the hustle and bustle has arisen.

As a Field Sales person, you are the leader of the Sales Team, the person who wins the business with the garages and workshops face to face. You are the problem solver and the person who shares the banter, the cups of tea and the stresses of the garage owners, whilst negotiating the best deals for your company.

Working hand in hand with the Branch Managers and their busy teams, you will also motivate and provide inspiration to the internal sales team and drivers – this is a team sport after all!

JOB – VAC – 20236 – Assistant Branch Manager

Are you ready to lead by example, and take control of one of the most important branches within the UK?

One of the busiest and most successful branch networks within the UK with decades of successful trading are looking for their next superstar to help manage a pivotal branch within the network.

Within the role you will be both assisting the branch manager but also taking direct responsibility for the internal sales team. Leading by example, your mission will be to help grow sales within an extremely competitive environment.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Assisting the Branch Manager within the day to day running of the branch
* Directly managing the sales office, motivating, inspiring and leading by example
* Creating, hitting and smashing targets
* Dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone
* In charge of the branch in the manager’s absence.

This role would suit a variety of backgrounds as automotive industry experience is useful but not essential. To succeed in this role however, you must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and sales ability, with the managerial skills required to be able to lead a team with the ultimate objective of growing sales and business. As a premium parts supplier to the Automotive Aftermarket, this fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an already successful branch based team as a Parts Advisor. The word “Team” defines this organisation. There are no lone rangers as each individual works towards a collective target and are always on hand to help each other out.

Working closely with the Branch Manager, the focal point of your role will be to respond to predominantly incoming calls from established and new customers to provide a 5* service as well as greeting customers face to face over the counter. This is a perfect match for a proactive ‘people’ person, who enjoys a good conversation and has sublime relationship building skills. As a Parts Advisor, you are motivated to ensure current levels of business are not only maintained (sat in the middle lane), but exceeded into the fast lane.

As an individual, it is not essential to have parts experience, however what is key is a genuine passion for cars or the automotive industry mixed with the ambition to succeed and grow your career.

KEY DUTIES OF A PARTS ADVISOR

  • Receiving incoming calls from both retail and trade customers.
  • Identifying the relevant parts and advising customers of the cost and availability.
  • Dealing with customers face to face over the trade counter.
  • Ensuring stock levels are kept to a sufficient level.
  • Responsible for raising invoices and taking payment.
