PG Automotive was formed by Automotive Industry Professionals to service the recruitment needs of the Automotive Aftermarket across the UK and Ireland. Our initial aim was to supply the industry with a high calibre of experienced sales professionals which has branched out into a need to service entry level positions up to and including boardroom appointments across multiple disciplines.

After operating for a number of years under the radar almost as a black ops recruiter, the decision was made to come out of the woodwork and further establish and commercialise the PG Automotive UK brand, leading to expansion and recruitment of an experienced Internal Recruitment Team.
The team is led by a vibrant and energetic recruitment team led by two experienced Automotive and Recruitment industry professionals and well supported by an agile and experienced team of Recruitment Consultants and Support Personnel.
Pete George began his career in the Automotive Industry in the 80’s under the former RS Cosworth and British Touring Car legend Graham Goode where he started his automotive career as a Panel Beater leading to a career as a Technician and further more into receiving his IMI qualifications following a distinction in Automotive Management.
Early success in the automotive industry led to a successful move into Motor Industry Insurance followed by his first steps into Recruitment with a leading Regional Sales and Marketing Specialist. With a love for all things Automotive and on the back of a highly successful recruitment career, Pete used his knowledge and contacts in the automotive industry to set up PG Automotive to concentrate his focus entirely on servicing the recruitment needs of his loyal Automotive client base.
With the automotive industry craving experienced recruiters that had worked in the automotive trade, PG Automotive and Pete George grew exponentially and by the end of Year 1 trading, he had successfully worked with a selection of the largest and most prestigious automotive manufacturers worldwide. Pete also understood and embraced the needs of smaller and local and regional UK based manufacturers and distributors and ensured that both his team and PG Automotive were highly supportive of their recruitment needs.
With his passion, enthusiasm and energy, Pete has been responsible for a number of high profile appointments and he remains a well known and respected figure in both the Automotive and Recruitment industries. Pete is also known for being notoriously difficult to contact, but extremely helpful, going out of his way to support candidates and clients.
Pri Chauhan left University with a Bsc in Computer Science and no ambition to ever work in the world of Recruitment or the Automotive Industry.
13 years later, he is now responsible for front line recruitment, strategy, brand development and the ongoing development needs of PG Automotive including succession planning, recruitment and various expansive projects. He has also launched the Senior Appointments division of PG Automotive and is currently looking at various options to diversify our total service offering.
Seeking a change in direction and the opportunity, Pri was offered the role as the youngest Sales Director of a leading international design agency, which led to regular international travel and the opportunity to work on multi million pound projects over 3 continents.
Despite the apparent glamour and glitz, very long hours and living in airports, Pri was drawn back into the high paced world of Recruitment (even longer hours!), and after an interim management role at a leading UK Search & Selection organisation, joined forces with Pete George and developed the PG Automotive brand and support and developed the short term and long term plans of the company.
With a great synergy and understanding between Pri and Pete, PG Automotive has grown into a leading automotive recruiter and future expansion plans are in place to continue our progress without losing the personal touch.
After recently becoming a father, Pri is often found power napping and catching up on sleep in the boardroom and heating up milk in the PG Automotive Kitchen! He spends most of his time with his family but is also a keen armchair sportsman.

The automotive aftermarket (especially in the UK) receives negative press and is sometimes recognised as the poorer cousin of the automotive industry compared to OEM and Vehicle Manufacturers.
